Southwest Airlines Extends Flight Schedule For Winter

Southwest Airlines said on Thursday that it has published their route schedule until June 3, 2024.

Southwest also announced new continuous service between Washington, D.C. (Dulles) and Phoenix beginning April 9, 2024. The flights will be available on Mondays and Thursdays through Sundays.

Meanwhile, starting April 13, 2024, Southwest will restore weekend seasonal service between Houston (Hobby) and Charlotte, North Carolina.

The carrier confirmed that Sunday-only service between Dallas and Portland, Oregon, as well as Atlanta and Oakland, California, will resume the following day.

Looking ahead to the winter season, Southwest says it has made "big investments" to be "very prepared" for severe weather and other personnel concerns that hampered it last time.

"There have been significant investments in winter operations and preparations." "We need more deicing trucks and more deicing capacity," Southwest CEO said at an investor conference on Thursday.

"I feel very, prepared for this winter with everything that will be in place by October," he said.

Southwest.com now offers complete schedule availability through Memorial Day 2024.
