Krispy Kreme's bright Scooby-Doo-themed donuts are bringing back childhood memories this Halloween. The donut maker's relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products offers four limited-edition donuts.
The Scooby Dooby-Doo, Mystery Machine, Jinkies! Halloween Orange Sprinkle, and Spooky Monster Cookies N' Kreme donuts are new.
Scooby-Doo features orange cake batter-flavored buttercream in the middle and blue frosting with a lime green swirl on top. Mystery Machine frosting is chocolate and sprinkled with lime green.
The Spooky Monster Cookies N' Kreme has Oreo Cookie filling, purple and black chocolate frosting, Oreo cookies, and a Scooby-Doo monster chocolate chunk.
"We've enlisted Scooby-Doo and friends to investigate 'The Case of the Disappearing Doughnuts' as Krispy Kreme doughnuts disappear quickly," said the Global Chief Brand Officer in an October 9 news release.
All four Scooby-Doo Halloween donuts are available at Krispy Kreme. A dozen will also come in a cool Scooby-Doo box. Order them online or via the app and have them picked up or delivered.
Occasionally, a nearby grocery shop may sell six-packs of donuts. Krispy Kreme has other promotions this month besides the limited-edition donuts.
With Friday the 13th in October, Krispy Kreme is giving a 13th donut for 13 cents with the purchase of a dozen Original Glazed. You can also score a free donut by dressing up on Halloween.
