Baskin-Robbins' New Ice Cream Tastes Like Chicken

Restaurant franchises that innovated gave us many of our most famous dishes. Check out Taco Bell's Doritos Locos Taco and McDonald's bright green Shamrock Shake.

Baskin-Robbins' latest ice cream has a surprising flavor, so the brand advises people not to "bock it 'til you try it." New Chick'n & The waffles ice cream is the chain's March Flavor of the Month.

Unlike a traditional chicken and waffles meal, Baskin-Robbins' delicious new version has no chicken.

"No meat? No issue. The business stated in a release that its unusual ice cream tastes like fried chicken yet includes 0% real chicken and is 100% tasty.

"At Baskin-Robbins, we pride us on bringing innovative flavors to market, which is the reason when we saw the increasing amount of Chicken & Waffles on menus,

we knew we had to come up with a bold flavor that would alter the way our guests enjoy Chick'n & Waffles," said the brand's director of marketing.

"This flavor is a frozen take on the iconic brunch dish, presented in a deliciously deconstructed concept that is unique to our shops."

"Can't wait to try this," one Twitter user wrote about the Baskin-Robbins flavor. Another said, "Sorry, gonna pass on that."

Free samples of the new taste will be available in New York City. Baskin-Robbins will serve bottomless Chick'n & Waffles ice cream during its first Bottomless Brunch at 1225 1st Ave. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
